Strategic Energy Security and Innovation: Enhancing U.S. - India Cooperation Amid Global Challenges

The Strategic Energy Security and Innovation Workshop, held on September 9–10, 2025 in Chandigarh, brought together India’s startups, universities, and research institutions alongside select U.S. experts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in energy security. Organized by the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, PSCST, IIT Ropar, and the University of Connecticut, the program focused on advancing shared priorities through entrepreneurial and research-driven innovation. 

Key themes included trade, nuclear energy collaboration, and infrastructure resilience, reflecting the growing need for strategic partnerships amid global challenges. By fostering dialogue and collaboration between academic, industry, and policy stakeholders, the workshop created pathways for innovation that enhance energy security and support sustainable development.
